Why not stop by Kings Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Wolf Creek Golf Course is a great way to kill some time; dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Atlanta West/Six Flags. That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Kings Lake has it all. There are some nice whitewater spots on Chattahoochee River, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta. Kings

You'll need more than a day to discover everything Kings Lake has to offer, you can camp at Arrowhead Campground, and Atlanta/Six Flags Super 8 Motel is a wonderful spot to get some rest. to camp here for a while, Atlanta West Campgrounds is a magnificent site for that. If you come at the right time of year, Sweetwater Creek offers some good whitewater.
Kings Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month
of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is September. High temperatures at Kings Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. The
winter brings highs down to the 40's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Kings Lake temperatures sink to the 20's.
