If the weather is nice here at Jones Lake, you can go for a hike along the Mountaintown Creek Trail; not far from Jones Lake you'll hit upon Jones Lake which is a lovely lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Bear Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and if you need a location to stay Super 8       Motels - Jasper is a great choice. Jones Lake is a reasonably wet place mostly with a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest of the months is October. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff close to Jones Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Microtel Inns and Suites Jasper, and Plum Nelly Campground is a great campground here. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Jones Lake, and through                  the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Jones Lake. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Long Swamp Creek, and Jones Lake Dam is a picturesque site, absolutely worth a visit.
