A great spot for whitewater paddling near Jones Lake is Long Swamp Creek, and do put some time aside to spend at Padgett Falls since you're here at Jones Lake. Microtel Inn and Suites Jasper is a great place to get some rest, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous nearby hotel is Super 8 Motels - Jasper; there's always Sharp Mountain Watershed Dam Number One to visit in close proximity to Jones Lake.
