Summertime at Jones Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Jones Lake. Take a hike on the Bear Creek Trail, and get wet paddling on Clear Creek. Hobson Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth a visit, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Long Swamp Creek.       You simply have to adore Jones Lake. A tremendous nearby hotel is Microtel Inns and Suites Jasper. Lakes are great; Jones Lake is a lake that's right next door to Jones Lake. Jones Lake Dam has great water scenery and it's close to Jones Lake, and camping at Plum Nelly Campground is always a great experience. A lot of rain falls at Jones Lake; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October is when it's the driest. After a long day outdoors                  Super 8 Motels - Jasper is a good spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
