Jones Lake gets a good deal of water; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Ocmulgee National Monument is a national park worth checking out, and Jones Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Scenic Mountain RV Park and Campground is       a magnificent place to camp nearby. Near Jones Lake you locate the Twin Bridges Trail which is a great hiking trail; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Jones County Lake Jonesco Golf Course is close at hand. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Jones Lake. Going for a hike on the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail is always a delightful adventure, and a good nearby hotel is Days Inn Gray. Lots of folks from                  Macon come to Jones Lake; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Macon East is a perfect place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Little River is a splendid whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Jones Lake, and a gorgeous lake like Slocumbs Lake is a great place to stop at. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Jones Lake has to offer, you can camp at Little River Park; Jones Lake Dam is not far at all from Jones Lake. Summertime highs at Jones Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's.
