You can take a little journey to Jones Lake Dam while you're here at Jones Lake, and Mount Bethel Campground is a splendid local campground. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Jones Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Jones Lake descend into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Overmountain

here than Jones Lake, for example Duggan Lake; you can run the rapids of Yellow River. A great deal of rain falls at Jones Lake; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and September meanwhile is the driest month.

Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
