You could also visit North Jones Lake while you're here at Jones Lake; it's nearby, and Big Cedar Creek has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby. The high level of rainfall makes Jones Lake a quite wet spot; the wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains       the most; the driest month of the year is October. This is a popular spot for people from Rome, and Rome-floyd County Recreation is a perfect campground nearby. Just can't get enough of Jones Lake. Very pleasant water scenery is available at Jones Lake Dam near Jones Lake, and a lake nearby is Jones Lakes. All through the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 80's at Jones Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime                  brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Jones Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Near Jones Lake you discover a golf course called Horseleg Creek Country Club. This lake is so wonderful.
