The high level of precipitation makes Johnsons Lake a quite wet site; during January this area sees the most rain, and September is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Johnsons Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 50's, and night lows during the wintertime       for Johnsons Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Scottish Inns Thomson is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Big Hart Campground is a nice site to do that. Johnsons Lake Dam is gorgeous and it's close to Johnsons Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western White Columns Inn. Get covered with water paddling on Ogeechee River. Goldens Creek is a delightful location to stop by.
