If you came for an overnight stay Big Hart Campground is a good place to camp; Johnsons Lake is not the only place nearby, Johnsons Lake is a nearby lake. Johnsons Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the                  one that rains the most; September is the month with the least moisture.
