Johnson Lake gets a great deal of water; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the months of summer here at Johnson Lake, high temperatures       regularly reach the 80's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Johnson Lake. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do close to Johnson Lake. You'll hit upon a charming lake called Vance Lake near Johnson Lake. There's so much to do here at Johnson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cedar Creek Park is a fine site                  for that. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Country Hearth Inn Cedartown; a round of golf at nearby Cedar Valley Golf Course is a good way to kill some time. Johnson Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Rome-floyd County Recreation is a wonderful local campground, and you're sure to encounter some great people from Cedartown here. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not explore Pettit Lake in the neighborhood of Johnson Lake, and get drenched paddling on Johnnies Creek.
