Camping is available at Sweetwater Creek State Park; for you golfers we recommend close by St Andrews Golf & Country Club. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Mobley Creek, and if you need a place to stay Sleep Inn Douglasville is a great choice. During the summertime at Johnson Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 60's. Highs through the       wintertime are frequently in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Johnson Lake descend into the 20's. Holiday Inn Express Atl West (I-20) d'Ville Area is a wonderful place to get some rest, and Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a magnificent site nearby. So much amusing stuff near Johnson Lake, truly mind-blowing. Why not stop at Johnson Lake Dam if you're here, and a good place to camp here at Johnson Lake                  is South Oaks Manufactured Home. The high level of rain makes Johnson Lake a reasonably wet site; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is ordinarily the driest month.
