     McGee Lake is a splendid lake right next door to Johnson Lake, and Johnson Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Cloudland Canyon State Park is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Moore Lake is nearby; do pay a visit to Russell Cave National Monument while you're here at Johnson Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Daniel Creek, and camping at The Chimney's Campground is always a tremendous experience. There's  
   delightful hiking along the Bluff Trail, and Canyon Ridge Golf Course is a great golf course nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Johnson Lake without first going for a hike along the Skyuka Trail, and Forester Spring is a picturesque place to visit while you're at Johnson Lake. High temperatures at Johnson Lake through the days of summer are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold
 
               winter nights at Johnson Lake are in the 20's. But wait, there's more to do next to Johnson Lake. If you need a location to stay Chanticleer Inn is a pleasant choice, and you could always look at Bradford Gap.
During your trip to Johnson Lake you'll meet some people from Summerville for sure, and if you come at the right time of year, Gulf Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. Just can't get enough of Johnson Lake. Johnson Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. Johnson Lake is a rather wet place regularly with a large amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is March; October on the other hand is the driest.
If you're here at Johnson Lake, checking out Johnson Crook is a must, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Trenton.
