A fine close by hotel is Best Western Executive Inn, and Johnson Lake is a wonderful site to camp, Mount Moriah Campgrounds is a wonderful site. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can check out Johnson Lake Dam. Through the long summer days highs here at Johnson Lake reach the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are usually in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Johnson Lake during the winter usually fall into the 30's. Johnson Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; during August this area sees the most rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
