There's so much to do here at Johnson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Stagger Lee Music Park is a nice place for that. The high level of rain makes Johnson Lake a relatively wet place; most of the rain falls during August, and October is when it's the driest. That right there is heaps already, but it goes on; Johnson Lake has it all. Johnson Lake is a place with many visitors       from Waycross. Lakes are such calm spots, why not explore Bar-O-Ranch Lake close to Johnson Lake; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Alma is a fine place to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Johnson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Towns Bluff Park, and a scenic lake like Lake Lure is a great site to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Blueberry Plantation Country Club is a golf course next to Johnson Lake, and Johnson                  Lake Dam has great water scenery. The warmest time of the year at Johnson Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 60's.
