Stay the night at Sawnee Campground, and if time allows, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is a national park worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Windermere Golf Club 1 is always a delight; don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to Kelley Mill Branch. Johnsen Lake is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Twin Lakes Park is a delightful spot to camp nearby, and Pine Lake is a delightful lake close by.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Amicalola Creek is so much fun, and you can go for a hike on the Brookshire Creek Trail. Through the warmest time of the year here at Johnsen Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Johnsen Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. A wonderful close by hotel is Holiday | |
