Jefferson City Lake is a wet location that gets a great deal of rain; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and August is when it's the driest. For the duration of the summertime, highs usually are in the 80's at Jefferson City Lake, and the nighttime is a bit colder of course, frequently in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and       overnight lows at Jefferson City Lake during the wintertime regularly descend into the 20's. After a long day outdoors Jameson Inn Commerce is a good location to spend a night or two; if you come at the right time of year, North Oconee River offers some wonderful whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Why not visit Jefferson City Lake Dam if you're here, and Commerce Koa Kampground is a great campground here. A tremendous close by hotel is Comfort Inn Jefferson.                  Jefferson City Lake is a splendid site to camp, Pine Lake RV Campground is a splendid site, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Hudson River.   Comfort Inn Jefferson, Jefferson 2 miles away Easy access off I-85.
