Best Western White House Inn is a great site to get some rest, and James Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Warm Springs Campground is a delightful local campground. The scenery at James Lake Dam near James Lake is charming; whitewater paddling       is good on Flint River. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the vicinity of James Lake will keep you coming back many times. Camping at Ramsey Mobile Home and RV Park is always a fine experience, and lakes are such calm locations, why not stop at Hill Lake. High temperatures at James Lake through the summer are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter                  temperatures at James Lake drop into the 30's.
