Beautiful Jackson Lake has much to offer visitors. Very fine water scenery is available at Jackson Lake Dam right next door to Jackson Lake, and do take a hike on the Hardy Trail. Jackson Lake is not the only site close by, Murphy Lakes is a close by lake, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Home Town Inn Ringgold/Fort Oglethorpe. This lake is so wonderful. Jackson Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Ringgold Koa Kampground is a nice place to camp

| | nearby; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Middle Creek. Through the long summer days, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Jackson Lake, and the night is a tad colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 40's; nighttime lows at Jackson Lake through the wintertime regularly plunge into the 20's. It's always delightful to pop by Leet Spring, and you can stay the night at Best Holiday Trav-l-park. After a long day outdoors Red Roof Inn Ringgold is a tremendous site to spend a night or two; if you come at the right time of year,
Rock Creek offers some perfect whitewater. One of the major characteristics of the surroundings of Jackson Lake is Beaumont Mountain, and if you get bored of Jackson Lake you could also go to close by Blue Spring Lake. This lake
is so wonderful. During your trip to Jackson Lake you'll meet some folks from Chattanooga for sure, and hiking along the Bluff Trail is pleasant fun. Battlefield Golf Club is a great golf course close by. All the water falling
down from the sky makes Jackson Lake a wet place; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is October.
