If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great earth it would be. Good hiking is available along the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail, and Days Inn At Jackson is a tremendous spot to get some rest. Go for a hike on the Ocmulgee River Trail; after a long day outdoors Quality Inn Covington is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Jackson Lake, and the overnight       is a tad colder of course, frequently in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Jackson Lake. Jackson Lake is a wonderful place to camp, Sardis Campground is a wonderful place. All the water falling down from the sky makes Jackson Lake a wet place; through March this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is September. Stay the night at Mount Bethel Campground, and why                  not have a look at close by Herds Creek if you're here at Jackson Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lloyd Shoals Dam is worth checking out while you're here, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Alcovy River.
