A wonderful lake like Richardson Lake close to Jackson Lake is a tremendous place to check out, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Jackson Lake; Ocmulgee River Trail is a great local trail. Paddling on Alcovy River is so much fun, and Stalnaker Lake is a nice lake close by. If you need a location to stay Days Inn Jackson is a magnificent       choice; good hiking is available along the Kinnard Horse Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Jackson Lake a wet place; the wettest month of the year is generally March, that's the one that rains the most; September is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the summertime, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Jackson Lake. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's while Jackson                  Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Quality Inn Covington is a glorious site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Big Sandy Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Sardis Campground is a great campground nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the vicinity of Jackson Lake.
