J S Ivy Lake is a lake worth visiting. The high level of rainfall makes J S Ivy Lake a rather wet spot; through March this area sees the most rain, and September is when it's the driest. Going for a hike along the Falling Camp Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and after a long day outdoors Athens Travelodge is a great place to spend a night or two. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to J S Ivy Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at J S Ivy Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.

if you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit J S Ivy Dam.
Get wet paddling on Rose Creek; hey, Barber Creek is a delightful local stream.
