Man, is there a heap of cool things to do close to Irwin Lake. If you're visiting Irwin Lake from Athens-Clarke County, you won't be the only one; soar down the rapids of Rice Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Adams Lake is a tremendous lake right next door to Irwin Lake, and Irwin Lake       is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Commerce Koa Kampground is a delightful place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Irwin Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 50's, and night lows all through the winter for Irwin Lake tend to be in the 20's. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Commerce is a wonderful site to spend a night                  or two, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Broad River. Take a little tour to Allen Branch since you're here at Irwin Lake, and Sandy Creek Golf Course Eagle is a golf course close by. Lakes? Sure, Minishs Lake is nearby, and you can stay the night at Victoria Bryant State Park.
