Iris Lakes is great enough to spend more than a day at, New Hope Campground is a great local campground, and an afternoon playing golf at Cotton Fields Golf Club is always a delight. Iris Lake East Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and if you've had enough of Iris Lakes, Davis Lake       is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Towaliga River is a nice whitewater spot near Iris Lakes, and if you need a location to stay Americas Best Value Inn and Suites/McDonough is a perfect choice. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Iris Lakes. A glorious location for whitewater paddling near Iris Lakes is South River; if you came to camp Shingle Roof Campground is a great place to do that. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn McDonough.                  A good deal of precipitation falls at Iris Lakes; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest of the months is September. Summer at Iris Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's.
