Go to Iris Lake East if you want to go to a nice lake. This site is excellent, just look at all the cool things to do close to Iris Lake East. Golf can be played at Cotton Fields Golf Club, and if you need a place to stay Scottish Inns Locust Grove is a nice choice. For the duration of the summer at Iris Lake East temperatures are mostly in the 80's; the night is slightly chillier of course, mostly in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the

| | 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Iris Lake East temperatures dip to the 30's. There's so much to do here at Iris Lake East that you need to camp here for a while, Shingle Roof Campground is a fine location for that, and get drenched paddling on Towaliga River.
If you came to camp New Hope Campground is a great location to do that, and you don’t have to go far from Iris Lake East to catch a glimpse of the water at Iris Lake East Dam. | |

Dry warm beds await you at Red Roof Inn Locust Grove, and Iris Lakes is a nearby lake that you could check out. Iris Lake East gets a great deal of water; during March this area sees the most rain while September is the month with
the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is worthwhile, and paddling on South River is so much fun.
