Camping at Forks Campground is always a delightful experience, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Holiday Inn AUGUSTA WEST I-20. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something close to Idlewylde Lake? Camelot Lake is in close proximity, also Idlewylde Lake Dam is worth stopping at while you're here. Idlewylde Lake is pleasant enough to       spend more than a day at, Heritage Mobile Home Community is a pleasant local campground, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Martinez is a great place to spend a night or two. So much exciting stuff to do here at Idlewylde Lake, too great to be true. A golf course near Idlewylde Lake is Forest Hills Golf Club; get yourself into a kayak and hit Savannah River. Idlewylde Lake is not the only place close by, Mullens Lake is a close by lake, and if you're                  visiting from Augusta-Richmond County, you won't be the only one. Much precipitation falls at Idlewylde Lake; most of the rain falls through March while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Turkey Creek Hiking Trail is nice fun. High temperatures at Idlewylde Lake throughout the days of summer are in the 90's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
