If you are in Jones county it's always a good idea to stop by Hungerford Lake. Whitewater paddling is good on Little River, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Jones County Lake Jonesco Golf Course is in the neighborhood. Cedar Creek flows through this area; there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Twin Bridges Trail. This lake is so wonderful.

Camping is available at Little River Park; after a long day outdoors Gray Days Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. A lot of rain falls at Hungerford Lake; all through March this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is October.

Trail which is a good hiking trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Hungerford Lake, and the overnight is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Hungerford Lake temperatures drop to the 30's.
