Playing golf is lots of fun at Bowden Golf Course, and Coulters Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. On a magnificent day at Howell Lake you can take a hike along the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail, and lots of people from Macon come here. This lake is so wonderful. All the water falling down from       the sky makes Howell Lake a wet place; through March this area sees the most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Riverside Inn is a splendid place to get some rest, and Howell Lake Dam has wonderful water scenery. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Why not camp at Tobesofkee Recreation Area if you're here at Howell Lake, and if you get bored of Howell Lake you could also have a look                  at nearby Club Lake. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Howell Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Howell Lake temperatures plunge to the 30's.
