This lake is so wonderful. Howell Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Stone Mountain Park Family Campground is a fine local campground. And that's not all you can do here at Howell Lake. The view of gorgeous Stone Mountain near Howell Lake is great, and Lanford Lake Dam is a gorgeous place, beyond doubt worth taking a look at. For the period of the summertime here at Howell Lake, high temperatures       generally get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and overnight lows at Howell Lake all through the winter commonly dip into the 20's. You'll meet a lot of people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta here, and for you golfers we recommend close by Southland Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Marriott Evergreen Conference Resort is a great                  choice, unsurprisingly you could also pop by Lanford Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Dry warm beds await you at Marriott Stone Mountain Inn Conference Center, and hey, Little Stone Mountain Creek is a glorious local stream. A glorious site to camp here at Howell Lake is Stone Mountain Park, and a tour to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is worthwhile.
