It's always fun to stop by Howell Lake. Howell Lake is a good spot to camp, Atlanta South Campground is a good spot, and since you're here you can play some golf at Lake Spivey Golf Club. A great nearby hotel is Drury Inn And Suites Atlanta Morrow. The high level of precipitation makes Howell Lake a quite wet site; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month is September.

| | down to Howell Lake. Here at Howell Lake there are plenty of people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, and Days Inn Atlanta/Southlake - Morrow is a magnificent place to get some rest. If time allows, Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a national park worth visiting; you can stay the night at Mc Dondugh Koa Kampground. This lake is so wonderful. Trammel Creek is a pretty stream that is worth a visit; Joy Lake Dam is delightful.
