Do stop by House Lake while you're in this part of Georgia. There are some good whitewater spots on Alcovy River. There's so much to do here at House Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Simmeron Park is a great location for that. House Lake is a rather wet place regularly with a great deal of rain; March is when you get the most rain here; September meanwhile is the driest month. A great nearby hotel is Country Hearth Inn Monroe, and a pretty lake like

| | Camp Lake is a great spot to take a look at. At House Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's, and night lows at House Lake during the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 30's. Having a great time at House Lake is easy. enough to spend more than a day at, Fort Yargo State Park is a tremendous local campground. A quick trip to Beaverdam Creek in close proximity to House Lake is a perfect idea; there's whitewater on Hard Labor Creek for all you adrenaline
rush seekers. This lake is so wonderful. Jameson Inn Winder is a wonderful spot to get some rest, and next to House Lake you discover a golf course called Woodlake Golf Club. Lakes are such calm sites, why not pop by Lake Monroe near House Lake.
