Summer at Horton Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Horton Lake sink into the 30's. Why not camp at Pirkle Campground while you're here at Horton Lake; Hampton Inn       Griffin GA is a glorious place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Griffin is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Dougherty Lake. Horton Lake is a relatively wet place ordinarily with a lot of rainfall; March is the month that gets the most rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If only every                  place had this much outdoors cool things, what a great planet it would be. Lakes? Sure, Shappard Lake is in the vicinity; paddling on Little Towaliga River is so much fun.
