Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Whooping Creek, and an out of the ordinary thing to pop by close to Hollingsworth Lake is Little Tallapoosa Structure Six Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BREMEN is a nice place to get some rest, and Chance Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. You'll meet a lot of people from Cedartown here. Hollingsworth Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors

| | paradise. This is a wonderful vicinity for folks who like lakes. Spence Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and a fine close by hotel is Best Western Carrollton Inn & Suites.
Paddling on Snake River is so much fun, and camping at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp-Resort is always a splendid experience. A lot of precipitation falls at Hollingsworth Lake; most of the rain falls through March; the driest of the months is October. Throughout the long summer days | |

highs here at Hollingsworth Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's with temperatures at Hollingsworth Lake dipping down into the 30's through
winter nights.

...ived on this creek my entire life and have barely been able to find a spotdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. There are a few property owners on shilo church road that will allow you passage to the water. I have floated a canoe to the river on this section after months of rain, but in general it is also too shallow. There are some deep holes in this section of the creek that offer great bream and bass fishing. The fishing is best closer to the river and it is not uncommon to catch 7# striped bass swimming up from the river looking for food. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not worth the hassle for kayaking.
