Stay the night at Marietta Campground, and Holcomb Lake is not far at all from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta. You'll locate a picturesque lake called Farmland Lake near Holcomb Lake, and Days Inn Marietta is a great place to get some rest. You don’t have to go far from Holcomb Lake to catch a sight of the water at Wiggly Lake Dam. The high level of rainfall makes Holcomb Lake a relatively wet place; the wettest month       of the year is frequently March, that's the one that rains the most, and October meanwhile is the driest month. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Holcomb Lake. Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is a delightful local destination here at Holcomb Lake; a glorious close by hotel is Crestwood Suites - Marietta. Blackjack Mountain is a peak you can spot from Holcomb Lake, and whitewater paddling is good on Sope Creek.                  During the summer months highs here at Holcomb Lake get into the 80's; the nighttime is a little chillier of course, typically in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows at Holcomb Lake through the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
