Hodges Pond is a lake worth visiting. River Park Mobile Home Park is a good campground here, and after a long day outdoors Valdosta-Days Inn is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. You'll meet a lot of folks from Valdosta here; Knights Inn - Hahira/Valdosta Area is a great place to get some rest. Throughout the summer here at Hodges Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 90's with overnight lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's,

| | and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Hodges Pond temperatures plunge to the 30's. Hodges Pond is a wet place that gets a great deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Boyette Pond is around here, and camping at Hodges Pond is perfect fun, Shady Oaks Campground is a perfect local campground.
