This lake is so wonderful. Gum Branch is a nice local stream; you don’t have to go far from Hodges Pond to spot the water at Hodges Pond Dam.       During your spree to Hodges Pond you'll meet some people from Statesboro for sure, and if you need a place to stay La Quinta Inn Statesboro is a nice choice. Hodges Pond gets a good deal of water; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and November is the month with the least moisture.
