If you are in Rockdale county it's always a good idea to stop by Hodges Lake. At Lees Lake Dam close to Hodges Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see, and dry warm beds await you at Ramada Atlanta East Conyers. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Hammock Creek from Hodges Lake is uncomplicated, and Highland Golf Club is a wonderful golf course nearby.
Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Yellow River.

| | There's so much to do here at Hodges Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Salem Campground is a fine spot for that. Much rain falls at Hodges Lake; most of the rain falls all through March, and the driest month is October. Visiting Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and Jameson Inn Conyers is a great spot to get some rest.

Lake get into the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hodges Lake. But wait, there's more to do next to Hodges Lake.
A pretty lake like Lees Lake near Hodges Lake is a fine location to explore; Hodges Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Stone Mountain Park Family Campground is a fine local campground.
