If you came for an overnight stay Lake Juliette Dames Ferry Park is a magnificent place to camp, and Hodges Lake Dam has great water scenery. Hodges Lake is a reasonably wet place frequently with a large amount of rain; all through March this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. You could also take       a look at Mitchell Lake while you're here at Hodges Lake; it's close by. Be careful coming to Hodges Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. A lake close by is Five Points Lake; Ocmulgee National Monument is a pleasant place close by. Take a hike on the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail, and Barn Branch is near Hodges Lake and is always a diversion to take a look at. The warmest time of the year at Hodges Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's                  with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 50's while Hodges Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. You'll meet a lot of folks from Macon here; hiking along the Ocmulgee River Trail is perfect fun.
