Hiram Cook Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Hiram Cook Dam has tremendous water scenery and it's close to Hiram Cook Lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta here. Summertime highs at Hiram Cook Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's while the cold winter nights at Hiram Cook Lake are in the 30's.

If you come at the right time of year, South River offers some fine whitewater, and camping at Mc Dondugh Koa Kampground is always a pleasant experience. Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a tremendous national park, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Yellow River. After a long day outdoors Atlanta/South Super 8 Motel is a nice location to spend a night or two; unsurprisingly, this is a pleasant region for folks | |

Hiram Cook Lake is a wet place that gets much rainfall; most of the rain falls through March; September on the other hand is the driest. An afternoon playing golf at Lake Spivey
Golf Club is always a joy; dry warm beds await you at Microtel Inn and Suites Atlanta Stockbridge Eagles Landing. This lake is so wonderful. Line Creek is a stream that you may run into while you're here, and if you came to camp Atlanta South Campground is a wonderful spot to do that.
