A large amount of rain falls at Hilly Lake; during March this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the       year is October. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Whooping Creek; after a long day outdoors Travelodge Newnan is a good location to spend a night or two. Camping at Flat Creek Campground is always a perfect experience, and if you come at the right time of year, Snake River offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful.
