Hills Lake is a lake worth visiting. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Hills Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 40's while Hills Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Hills Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hills Lake in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Stay the night at Jenny's Creek Family Campground; a nice nearby hotel is Pura Vida

But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. On a great day at Hills Lake you can take a hike along the Whitly Gap Trail, and do pop by Hills Lake Dam since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Chestatee River. If you come at the right time of year, Tesnatee Creek offers some great whitewater. Having a good time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is painless. There is a great hiking trail near Hills Lake called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; there are plenty of folks from Gainesville
here. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side spree to Cathey Creek, and if you need a spot to stay Cleveland Days Inn is a pleasant choice. Black Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and if the weather is glorious, you
can go for a hike along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail.
Hills Lake is a pretty wet place frequently with a lot of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is October.
