Hills Lake is a lake worth visiting. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Limited Of Blue Ridge; if you get bored of Hills Lake you could also check out nearby Davenport Lake. Summertime highs at Hills Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows during the winter for Hills Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Plum Nelly

| | Campground is a brilliant campground nearby, and Mountaintown Creek Watershed Dam Number Two is an exciting thing to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Conasauga Campground is a delightful local campground; Hill Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. Hills Lake. On a perfect day at Hills Lake you can take a hike along the Bear Creek Trail, and Best Western Mountain View Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Going for a hike
on the South Fork Trail is always a great adventure, and Holly Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. While you're here at Hills Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Cleveland, and a pleasant place close
by is Bear Pen Gap. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mountaintown Creek, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Mountaintown Creek Trail. The high level of
rainfall makes Hills Lake a rather wet location; March is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is October.

Lake Conasauga Campground
 | ...nd hosting at Lake Conasauga for the last few years I am very upset about the way people are treating the facilities offered there. As this area grows in popularity, and more and more people use it, I am saddened by the way this beautiful lake and mountian is being abused and trashed. The catch phrase ''Leave only your footprints'' applies to all US National Forests for a reason. One can only assume that you use this camping area for it's beauty and freshness, so why then do so many people leave it in such a mess? To have to pick up over 50 bags of trash, often left scattered about after a non-holiday weekend, is unreasonable. I don't mean to rant or nag, but, it isn't that hard to put a grocery bag in you pocket when fishing along the lake trail and walk out with the trash you create. The hosts in most camp grounds are volunteers and are unpaid. They pay for all of their own expenses to be there in order to keep the grounds and restrooms clean and stocked. So, PLEASE, read and obey the rules posted. Few places are as beautiful as our National Parks, please lets all make that small e... |

 | 16 miles away I have been going to this since I was a little boy...I'm 37 now. It is a wonderful campground. It holds many memories for me as I am sure it will for you....I have stayed at the Diamond lure in the past and found the campground and the operaters to be of a high quality. There is fishing and boating on the private lake too.... |
