    Hills Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Granny Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Hills Lake, and camping at Lake Conasauga Campground is always a great experience. Hills Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; during the month of March you get the most rain around here; October meanwhile is the driest month. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Paddling on Mountaintown Creek is so  
   much fun; going for a hike along the South Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
A fine location to camp here at Hills Lake is Plum Nelly Campground, and you can take a little journey to Mountaintown Creek Watershed Dam Number Two since you're here at Hills Lake. Bear Pen Gap is a perfect spot to spend some time at; do take a hike on the Bear Creek Trail. All through the summertime months highs here at Hills Lake get into the
 
               80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Hills Lake temperatures dip to the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Limited Of Blue Ridge; after a long day outdoors Best Western Mountain View Inn is a great site to spend a night or two. Glide down the rapids of Holly Creek in a kayak; some of the water close by flows, like Barnes Creek.
Hiking along the Mountaintown Creek Trail is nice fun; you'll meet a lot of people from Cleveland here.
