If you are in Cobb county it's always a good idea to stop by Highland Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Highland Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Highland Lake. You're sure to run into some fine people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta here. A good nearby hotel is Best Western Roswell Suites; Highland Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Marietta Campground is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. at Highland Lake; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is commonly the driest month.
Do check out Mitchell Lake Dam while you're here at Highland Lake, and camping at La Siesta RV Park is always a good experience.
And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do near Highland Lake. Cochrans Lake North is a nearby lake that you could pop by; if you're here and you like golf, you can stop at Blue Heron Golf Club.
