This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. You'll meet a lot of folks from Rome here; Hicks Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Cedar Creek Park is a glorious local campground. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Hicks Lake get into the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight       hours it's regularly in the 60's. Through the winter highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Hicks Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Rome is a perfect choice. There's so much to do here at Hicks Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rome-floyd County Recreation is a delightful location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Johnnies Creek is a pleasant                  whitewater spot near Hicks Lake. A spree to Rices Spring will fill your soul with tremendous feelings, and a quick trip to Dry Creek is beyond doubt a good idea. Hicks Lake is a wet place that gets much rainfall; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is October. Lakes? Sure, Lake Tom is in the neighborhood; Howard Johnson Express Inn Rome is a splendid place to get some rest.
