Not far from Hickman Lake you obtain some tremendous water scenery at Hickman Dam, and camping at Salem Campground is always a perfect experience. Do take a look at Anderson Lake next to Hickman Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Alcovy River. Hickman Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Campwest Minster is a wonderful local campground, and Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Conyers, GA is a magnificent place to get some

| | rest. Hickman Lake gets a large amount of water; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the summer months at Hickman Lake highs are generally in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 60's.
