Hetrick Lake Dam is pretty and it's near Hetrick Lake, and if you came to camp New Hope Campground is a fine location to do that. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. Super 8 Motel - Locust Grove is a fine place to get some rest; Hetrick Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Mount Bethel Campground is a fine local campground. Through the warm months, highs ordinarily are in       the 80's at Hetrick Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Hetrick Lake fall into the 30's. Hetrick Lake mostly gets a lot of rainfall; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Do check out Collins Lake close to Hetrick                  Lake, it's a striking lake; whitewater paddling is great on Towaliga River. Hetrick Lake is not far at all from Thomaston; after a long day outdoors Red Roof Inn Locust Grove is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
