Many people like to go to Herrin Pond. Stay the night at Lazy Acres Mobile Park and RV; lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Monroe Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Herrin Pond a wet place; August is the wettest month with most rain while October is usually the driest month.

Indian Trail, and Laura Walker Golf Course is a golf course nearby. Lots of folks from Waycross come to Herrin Pond; the scenery at Herrin Pond Dam is beautiful.
