There's so much to do here at Herds Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Valley Inn Resort is a great place for that, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody       but if it's for you then, we recommend Chattahoochee River. Throughout the warm months, highs frequently are in the 90's at Herds Lake while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Herds Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
