     Heads Creek is a nice lake to visit. At Heads Creek during the days of summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 50's with temperatures at Heads Creek dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Line Creek is a good whitewater spot right next door to Heads Creek; if you're dropping by from Thomaston, you won't be the only one. Heads Creek  
   gets lots of water; March is when you get the most rain here; September meanwhile is the driest month.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything Heads Creek has to offer, you can camp at Pirkle Campground, and after a long day outdoors Griffin-Days Inn is a great site to spend a night or two. If you love the outdoors, you'll adore Heads Creek. There's so much to do here at Heads Creek that you need to camp here for a while, Atlanta South RV Resort
 
               is a tremendous place for that. There are other locations here than Heads Creek, for example Cheatam Lake, and Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Newnan, GA is a brilliant place to get some rest.
Not far from Heads Creek, you'll locate Heads Creek Reservoir which is a gorgeous lake, and Cheatam Lake Dam has nice water scenery.
