Many people like to go to Head Lake. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Head Lake get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Head Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. You just should go for the Blue Ridge Mountains. A great close by hotel is Best Western Dawson Village Inn, and Head Lake is a brilliant spot to camp, Hidden Valley Resort is a brilliant spot. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. Some of the water close by flows, like Palmer Creek; you can run the rapids of Etowah River.

Lakes are fine; Brice Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Head Lake, and if you're a golfer then a good close by course is Chestatee Golf Club. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Head Lake. Settingdown
Creek is a perfect whitewater spot close to Head Lake, and pleasant hiking is available along the Black Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Brookshire Creek Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover
everything Head Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lumpkin Campground.
Head Lake gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls during March; October meanwhile is the driest month.
