Harris Lake is a nice lake to visit. Harris Lake is a wet place that gets much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest month is October. Camping at Lawrenceville Campground is always a great experience, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Brookshire Creek Trail. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! A magnificent nearby hotel is Microtel Inn and Suites Atlanta Lawrenceville. At Harris Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Harris Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Harris Lake, you could stop at Little Suwanee Creek, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yellow River.
A lake nearby is Watershed Y17 Lake, and after a long day outdoors Lawrenceville-Days Inn is a glorious site to spend a night or two.
