Harris Lake really is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Harris Lake is not the only site nearby, Lees Lake is a nearby lake, and lots of folks from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta come here. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Harris Lake get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, mostly       in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Harris Lake. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn AtlantaFairburn is a great site to spend a night or two, and get soaked paddling on Line Creek. A lot of precipitation falls at Harris Lake; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes Tar Creek, and                  glide down the rapids of Sweetwater Creek in a kayak. Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a great national park; a lake nearby is Wright Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
