Mill Creek is close to Hards Pond and is always a delight to check out, and if you came to camp Anthony's Mobile Park is a glorious place to do that. Hards Pond commonly gets a great deal of precipitation; during March this area sees the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Suburban Extended Stay Hotel/USO Columbus,       and Hards Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Florence Marina State Park is a splendid local campground. If you need a location to stay Microtel Columbus Fort Benning is a pleasant choice, and Hards Pond Dam is a delightful place, undeniably worth visiting. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Hards Pond. While you're here at Hards Pond, you could also go to beautiful Harps Pond, and a round of golf at nearby                  Oxbow Creek Golf Course is a nice way to kill some time. Acheson Hill is easy to spot from Hards Pond. During your visit to Hards Pond you'll meet some people from Columbus for sure, and Chattahoochee River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby. At Hards Pond during the warm months highs are in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
